Throught the history we know Microsoft browsers are pretty much useless. They tried to come back with microsoft edge back when they first launch windows 10,but we all know it fail hard.Although The previous version of the edge was better then their most infamous E internet explorer browser, they both became meme king of browsers at this point.
Microsoft has announced the release of a stable version of the Microsoft Edge 80.0 web browser . This is the first major update since the public release of the new Microsoft Edge, built on the basis of the Chromium project.
The new version brought with it support for the ARM64 architecture, which means that on devices such as Surface Pro X, Lenovo Yoga C630 WOS, Samsung Galaxy Book2 and others, the browser will work natively and all of who are use arm processor.
Previously, users of these devices had to install a 32-bit version of Microsoft Edge, which worked through emulation, which negatively affected productivity and also reduced battery life.
By the way, the installed 32-bit version will automatically upgrade to the version for ARM64 so if you get it you will get update anyway.
Microsoft plans to gradually upgrade Microsoft Edge Legacy (an outdated UWP version of the browser) to the new Chromium-based Microsoft Edge for all Windows 10 users. But you can also upgrade manually, without waiting for Microsoft to do it for you.
You can download the browser installer from official site . The stable version of Microsoft Edge currently supports Windows 7, 8.1, 10, and macOS.
